UKULELE GROUP SESSION

Dates: August 21st - October 9th

Instructor: Amy Buesing

Day & Time: Tuesday at 5:15pm-6:00pm

Location: Summit of Peace Lutheran Church - Green Room (upstairs)

Cost: $150/person

Grade: PreK+ - 8th grade

Description: Students will learn chords as well as individual notes on the ukulele. This is a great instrument for children (4+ years) and adults, alike! Students will gain knowledge in basic music theory, and a variety of repertoire from folk, classical, and modern music. Students range from beginner to intermediate.

Materials RequiredStudents will be required to purchase their own ukulele. Students will also be required to purchase a book, link to be provided by the teacher prior to beginning the session.


SONGWRITING GROUP SESSION

Dates: August 20th - October 8th

Instructor: Ryan Pontillas

Day & Time: Monday at 5:15pm-6:00pm

Location: Summit of Peace Lutheran Church - Light Blue Music Room (basement)

Cost: $150/person

Grade: 6th grade - 12th grade

Description: The Songwriting Group Session will teach songwriting and composition techniques that apply to all styles of music. Topics will include melody & harmony, lyric-writing, rhythm & grove, film-scoring, and much more!

Materials Required: Blank sheet music and proper writing utensils for the session.


JAM BAND GROUP SESSION

Dates: August 23rd - October 11th

Instructor: Dustin Knock

Day & Time: Thursday at 5:15-6:00pm

Location: Summit of Peace Lutheran Church - Sanctuary

Cost: $150/person

Grade: 6th grade - 12th grade

Description: In this session, students will explore collaborating in a band setting to develop sound and balance. They will learn repertoire/songs as a group with opportunities to demonstrate their new skills and abilities.

Materials Required: An instrument, paper and pencil.
